News ...  in January

You need a village, if only for the pleasure of leaving it. A village means that you are not alone, knowing that in the people, the trees, the earth, there is something that belongs to you, waiting for you when you are not there. "   - Casare Pavese

Hello to you all! My monthly news is full of the wonderful holiday that I've just had in Australia and Singapore with my grand-daughter. Now that I'm home again, there's much to do, and much to look forward to in a new year. I hope that you too are looking forward to good times, wherever you live and wherever you are travelling.

During 2012 I will be offering  B&B, and self-contained letting of the main house, between March and November.
See http://www.plockton.com/accommodation/sc/herons_flight.php for details of the self-catering offering, including a clarification about pets.

I hope that you might also sign my Guestbook? Current weather is usually viewable from the webcam close to Eilean Donan Castle.  Now read on.....  Ann.

Photo: thanks to  recent visitors Angela and Duncan Boyd for this photo and also the one at the top of the page

I would be delighted to make you feel at home. My house has fabulous views of the beautiful and tranquil Loch Carron, Duncraig Castle, and the rest of the village of Plockton.

Relax over a coffee in your room, watch the boats in the Bay from the front lawn or the (hopefully) sunny front porch.

You'll enjoy a wander along the shore or the main street, or one of the short walks further afield, watching birds and boats of all sizes all year, especially in summer.

The house has 2 huge bedrooms with ensuites and a further bedroom with its own bathroom.  Breakfast for B&B-ers is a friendly affair, with a continental breakfast served.

Let-ers will find a self-contained house, with separate facilities and a separate entrance from mine.
